The Orchard Academy of Performing Arts offers Ballet, Tap, Modern, Jazz, Disco, Contemporary, Acro & Musical Theatre. With competitive fees choose just one, or any combination of classes.

Dance and the Performing Arts are proven to be instrumental in laying the foundation of a child's future. It builds confidence, co-ordination, deportment, flexibility, teamwork, spatial and body awareness, time management and musicality.

We are renowned as a friendly yet professional school with the emphasis on enjoyment and fun whilst learning. It is my desire to nurture every child to reach his or her full potential at what ever level.

Examinations in both the RAD and ISTD syllabi can be taken if the ability and desire are evident. Help your child achieve in the future, give them the opportunity to learn skills for life!

Conveniently Located at Albany Business Park, Cabot Lane, Poole. between Poole and Broadstone with good access from all major roads, and frequent bus services close by.

We offer a purpose built facility with two studios, a comfortable reception area to wait in, and dedicated off road parking. Our curriculum includes Ballet, Tap, Modern, Contemporary, Acro, Jazz, Disco and Musical Theatre. I am ably assisted by Miss Sarah-Jayne Bairstow and also have qualified teachers in place when cover is needed.

During the summer holidays we often run summer classes and workshops, dependent upon demand, to broaden the pupil's experience.

The school takes over the Lighthouse Theatre in Poole every other year, around about Easter, for our show where we play to packed houses (650 capacity) three or four performances.

Our pupils often successfully audition for other suitable productions such as the Poole Lighthouse Pantomime, Tivoli Theatre Pantomime, Poole & Parkstone Operatic Society productions, BLOC productions and English Youth Ballet productions to name but a few.

Talented and enthusiastic students can prepare for auditions to fulltime professional dance colleges to enable them to pursue a career in the performing arts industry.
